About Myths & Tails Mousery
Myths and Tails is run privately by a particular rodent-loving girl.

(Who happens to be me)
I've owned mice and rats since I was a very small child, gaining experience with other rodents and small mammals along the way. I've been an animal lover since I was born and that hasn't changed in adulthood.
I'm currently a college student studying Counseling Psychology with the goal of one day starting a local animal therapy organization for troubled youth and those clinically diagnosed with psychological/mood disorders.
. Myths & Tails began about three years ago when it became obvious that the Fancy Mouse selection where I was located was extremely poor. I've been working with mice ever since, and have been working selectively on my current lines for about a year. I breed for quality pets. Aside from avoiding lethal genetics, I put color on the back-burner in my breeding. I try for it but its more guess-work than science. It is important to understand the distinction between Fancy Mice and Show Mice. Show mice are larger, have more distinctive ears and tails, a racier body structure, have been selectively bred more carefully/for a longer period of time and are much harder to find, especially in the U.S. I breed Fancy Mice, bred primarily for temperament and health. An excellent article on reasons to buy your rodents from a mousery/rattery or dedicated breeder rather than a petstore is linked below.

Other Hobbies
Almost as long as I've been a rodent lover, I've been riding horses. I currently am a part-time trainer, which you can find out more about by going to my Horse Training page listed below
